Reset diagnostics — Biological Age
Your biological age is not a fixed number. It is a measure of how well you have been living — and how well you can start.
Every cell in your body contains a clock.

The diagnostic
Telomere Testing
At the end of each chromosome sits a protective cap called a telomere — a repeating sequence of DNA that shortens slightly every time a cell divides. When telomeres become critically short, the cell can no longer divide safely. It enters a state of senescence — or it dies.
Telomere length is the most direct molecular measure of cellular biological age available in clinical practice. It reflects not just how many years you have lived, but the cumulative biological cost of how you have lived them — the inflammation, the oxidative stress, the nutritional deficits, the sleep debt, the chronic pressure.
A telomere test tells you where your cells are on that clock — and what can be done to slow it.
What it measures
A telomere test measures the average length of telomeres in your white blood cells using advanced quantitative PCR or flow cytometry-based analysis performed by an accredited specialist laboratory.
The measurement is expressed relative to a reference population matched to your chronological age — providing:
Your telomere length in kilobase pairs
- A biological age equivalent derived from population reference data
- A percentile ranking showing where your cellular age sits relative to others of the same chronological age
- Context on attrition rate — whether the pace of shortening suggests accelerated biological ageing
What the results reveal
Two people of exactly the same chronological age can have telomere lengths equivalent to someone twenty years apart in biological terms. The test reveals which side of that spectrum you are on — and how significant the gap is.
Short telomeres relative to chronological age are a signal that the biological machinery is ageing faster than the calendar. The drivers of that acceleration — chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, nutritional depletion, sleep disruption, sustained psychological stress, elevated visceral fat — are not abstract risks. They are measurable, identifiable, and addressable.
Short telomeres are independently associated with increased risk of cardiovascular disease, immune dysfunction, cognitive decline, and all-cause mortality. The test creates the opportunity to address those associations at the deepest biological level — before they manifest as disease.
Perhaps most significantly: telomere length is not fixed. Research demonstrates that specific interventions can measurably slow attrition — and that the enzyme telomerase, when supported appropriately, can partially restore telomere length. This makes the test not just diagnostic, but the anchor of a programme with a measurable biological target.
What happens after — the protocol that follows
Telomere test results anchor the most evidence-based longevity programme available.
Every identified driver of telomere attrition becomes a target. Inflammatory load, oxidative stress burden, nutritional gaps, sleep quality, exercise type and intensity, and stress physiology are all evaluated and addressed through a personalised protocol calibrated to your specific findings.
Therapeutic interventions with evidence for supporting telomere health — including IV antioxidant therapy, red light therapy, PEMF, and HBOT — are integrated where appropriate, directed by what the test reveals rather than selected generically.
Annual repeat testing provides the most meaningful data — tracking whether the protocol is influencing the trajectory and providing the molecular confirmation that biological ageing is being measurably addressed.

How it works
The test requires a simple blood draw at the clinic — a few millilitres, collected quickly by our clinical team. The sample is processed by our specialist laboratory partner. Results are typically available within two to three weeks.
Your results consultation places the number in clinical context — interpreting telomere length against your chronological age, health history, lifestyle, and other biomarkers. The consultation then builds the protocol that responds to it, identifying the specific drivers of attrition most likely at work in your case and targeting them directly.
Suitability
Who should get it and when
Telomere testing is most relevant for:
-
01
Anyone over 35 for whom biological age optimisation is an active priority
-
02
High-performers and executives managing sustained stress who want to understand the cellular cost
-
03
People building serious longevity protocols who need a precise molecular baseline
-
04
Those with a significant family history of age-related disease who want to understand their cellular trajectory
-
05
Anyone who has made significant lifestyle changes and wants objective molecular evidence of their biological impact
-
06
People managing chronic inflammatory, metabolic, or autoimmune conditions where accelerated cellular ageing is a recognised consequence
Can telomere length actually be improved?
Yes — and this is one of the most important findings in longevity science. While telomere shortening is a natural consequence of cellular division, research demonstrates that specific interventions can slow attrition and, through the activation of telomerase, partially restore telomere length. These interventions can be precisely calibrated once your baseline is known.
How accurate is telomere testing?
Telomere length measurement using validated laboratory methodologies provides clinically meaningful and reproducible results. Individual variation between tests exists, which is why we interpret results in the context of your full clinical picture and use repeat testing to track trends over time rather than relying on a single absolute value.
What factors shorten telomeres most significantly?
Chronic psychological stress and elevated cortisol are among the most potent telomere-shortening forces identified in research. Oxidative stress, systemic inflammation, nutritional deficiencies, sedentary behaviour, poor sleep quality, smoking, and excess visceral fat are all independently associated with accelerated attrition — and most are directly addressable.
How often should I retest?
Annual retesting provides the most meaningful trend data. A year is sufficient time for a well-implemented protocol to produce measurable changes in telomere health markers, and frequent enough to catch unfavourable trajectories early. For those in active longevity programmes, yearly testing becomes the most motivating and informative metric available.
